"Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse." (Philippians 4:8)
Think about that time you missed the green light, no one is in the car with you and you're upset. Sure, the man in front of you may have been going way too slow but your anger is in vain. It's only you that hears your complaints and only you that will start out your day on the wrong foot.
Restart your day on the right foot, don't let self-centeredness and emotions control your day. For as 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 says, "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed".
Take heart and prepare yourself, because we will have trouble and strive in this life. But being grateful for what is good in life will free you from thoughts that come to crush our spirits and hopes during those times. Look outward instead of inward as a reaction to problems and even some help along the way would be a good idea.
